Assistant Project Manager – Mall Fitting Out

Position Title: Assistant Project Manager – Mall Fitting Out

Office Location: East Kowloon

Site Location : Huizhou, China (stay 2 to 3 days per week)

Department: Property Department

Report to: Project Manager

 

Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager will assist in the final stages of fitting out a shopping mall in Huizhou, China. This role involves coordinating with fitting out contractors and material vendors, overseeing building facilities, organizing promotional activities for rental leasing, and supporting budget control. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fitting Out Coordination: Follow up on the final stages of the shopping mall fitting out process, ensuring compliance with design specifications and timelines.
  • Communication with Contractors: Liaise with fitting out contractors and material vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and services.
  • Building Facilities Oversight: Monitor the installation and functionality of building systems, including air-conditioning, fire safety systems, water supply, and electrical systems.
  • Promotional Organization: Assist in organizing promotional activities and events aimed at attracting tenants for rental leasing, collaborating with marketing teams as needed.
  • Budget Control Support: Help track project expenses, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and reporting any variances to the Project Manager.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager to support project objectives.
  • Frequently travel to Guangdong China is required for this position 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder with education in building, interior design and construction or related
  • 4 years or above of experience in project management, preferably in construction, fitting out or commercial property development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of building systems (air-conditioning, fire safety, plumbing, electrical) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in retail or commercial property projects is a plus.
  • Office-based with site visits to the shopping mall in Huizhou, China
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
